Queensland government seeks community views on proposed ethanol mandate

Following on from the Department of Energy and Water Supply’s release of the Towards a clean energy economy: achieving a biofuel mandate for Queensland discussion paper, the Queensland government is seeking community input on its proposed 2% ethanol mandate through a series of public forums.

The discussion paper details the key issues around implementing a mandate and how the government intends to approach it.

The government will use the forums to provide further information about their plans for an ethanol mandate. The forums will also allow all stakeholders, from growers to everyday consumers, to have their say on what an ethanol mandate in Queensland will look like and how best to grow the Queensland biofuels industry.
